About Lett Medical Group

Lett Medical Group LLC (LMG) is a nurse practitioner-owned and operated private psychiatry practice established in January 2023 in Richmond, VA. Founded by Dexter Lett, APRN-BC, PMHNP, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized mental health care to underserved communities.

Our Mission: To deliver accessible, judgment-free psychiatric care that prioritizes your individual needs and helps you rediscover joy in life.

Services Offered: Psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive therapy, and telehealth services for patients aged 10 and older.

Privacy & Confidentiality

All patient information is handled with strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines. We are committed to protecting your health information and maintaining your privacy.

Information We Collect: Medical history, current symptoms, treatment goals, insurance information, and contact details necessary for providing quality care.

Information Sharing: Patient information is only shared with your explicit consent or as required by law (e.g., imminent danger to self or others).

Appointments & Scheduling

Scheduling: All appointments must be scheduled via our secure online platform at Valant or by calling (804) 589-4607. We recommend booking early for best availability.

Office Hours: Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Closed 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for lunch)

Cancellation Policy: We require 24 hours advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling. A fee of $75 applies for no-shows or late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice).

Punctuality: Please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment to complete any necessary paperwork.

Telehealth Services

We offer virtual sessions through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for your convenience and accessibility.

Requirements: Patients must be physically located within the state of Virginia during telehealth sessions. A stable internet connection and private space are required.

Technology: We will provide instructions for accessing our secure telehealth platform prior to your appointment.

Billing & Insurance

Insurance Accepted: We accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Anthem, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Medicaid, Medicare, UnitedHealthcare, TRICARE, and others.

Payment: Co-pays and balances are due at time of service unless prior payment arrangements have been made. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.

Out-of-Network: We also welcome out-of-network patients and can provide documentation for insurance reimbursement.

Financial Assistance: Payment plans may be available for qualifying patients. Please discuss financial concerns with our staff.

Medication Management

Medication prescriptions and refills are provided at the clinical discretion of your provider based on your individual needs and treatment response.

Follow-ups: Regular follow-up appointments are required to continue prescriptions and monitor treatment effectiveness.

Controlled Substances: Special regulations apply to controlled substances. Early refills are not provided, and strict documentation is maintained.

Pharmacy Communication: We work directly with your pharmacy to ensure timely prescription processing.

Emergency Situations

Life-Threatening Emergencies: If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

After-Hours Care: We do not provide after-hours crisis or emergency services. Please utilize emergency resources listed above when needed.

Patient Rights & Responsibilities

Your Rights: You have the right to respectful, culturally competent care, informed consent, confidentiality, and participation in treatment decisions.

Your Responsibilities: Arrive on time, provide accurate information, follow treatment recommendations, and communicate openly about your concerns and progress.

Feedback: We welcome your feedback and suggestions for improving our services.

Changes to Terms

Lett Medical Group reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page and communicated to active patients.

Effective Date: These terms are effective as of January 2025 and supersede all previous versions.
